In my photography and artwork, I give the viewer an intimate look at everyday life by focusing on small details that might otherwise go unnoticed and unappreciated. These details—an object, scenery, an organic pattern, etc—are often beautiful due to their subtle significance within daily experiences. I’m also drawn to the relationship between objects and the memories and stories associated with them. I call attention to these objects, patterns, and details by giving them weight and space within the image, and invite the viewer to make their own connections and take the time to appreciate the small, but beautiful, details in their own lives.
