Photography – Los Angeles
I am a photographer with a special love for portraiture and concert photography. My style varies from dark and moody to vibrant and exciting, depending on the day. I am drawn to and embrace the non-traditional. My photography is meant to expose underlying currents of emotion within the subject, which, in turn, prompts emotion in the viewer. I like to capture the essence of people who are “other” somehow, whether it be aesthetically, socially, or emotionally. Portraiture, for me, is an excellent way to do this. Portraiture challenges our standards of beauty, which can then lead to a shift in our ideals and expectations of what we find beautiful. Every subject has his or her own unique style, and I strive to use that style as a basis for the theme of a shoot in order to elicit a sense of authenticity.
