Fashion – Los Angeles
An 18th century French philosopher, Denis Diderot once said, “Only passions, great passions can elevate the soul to do great things.” I believe he was right. Passions are essential to creating the fire in oneself to achieve any dream. My inner flame burns bright for a few things in life that will and does allow me to follow my dreams.
One of those dreams-Fashion Designer. When I was younger, before I would commit to any activity my mother wanted me to try I asked her, “What do they wear?” She would describe the uniform in the most appealing way possible for me agree to it. It was clear... fashion was for me.
Prior to graduating from FIDM\'s Fashion Design Professional Designation Program, I knew only of life in suburbs of Kansas City. Having been raised by a loving family and being an alum of the University of Kansas, I will always be a \"Rock Chalk Jayhawk\" Kansas girl at heart. However, LA has cast its love spell on me and I am here to stay.
The S BRUCEY comes from the energetic saucy nickname \"BRUCEY\" many call me. While the \"S\" represents not only my first name, which I adore, but several commanding adjectives that are behind my every design. I design with this philosophy in mind…“the kind of passion that enables me to navigate through a chaotic world, while allowing my true SELF to shine through, empowering ME to make all my dreams a reality.\"
