I design and create a range of unique products inspired by Australian native flora. My paper based line includes monochromatic floral prints, greeting cards, wrapping paper and more. The sca.har. range also includes laser cut earrings, each showcasing a distinct design inspired by native flora. These pieces are produced using recycled wood and each is hand painted in WA. I use a muted colour palette to bring focus to the floral patterns, and balance intricacy with minimalism. The sca.har. brand is about creating meaningful, useful, beautiful pieces that promote sustainability through both production and practicality. I have always been enchanted by flowers, and in recent years my love for Australian native flora has grown. There is a sharp edge to their beauty and I'm mesmerised by their intricacy and grace. I wanted to create a collection of unique products that would be both beautiful and useful. With my background as a graphic designer I began thinking, drawing and designing, and sca.har. was born. I constantly find myself inspired by my natural surroundings, and as such the sca.har. range is always growing as I find new ways to bring Australian flora into my life and others.
