Photography – San Diego

I knew I wanted to be an artist from a very young age. When I was six years old I enrolled in a pottery class, and that’s where it all began. From there, I went through life in phases, dedicating myself and most of my spare time to perfecting one form of art or another. The medium didn’t matter and I explored pretty much every avenue. Playing music, drawing, writing, dancing, singing, photography… you name it. I tried everything I could get my hands on and ended up falling in love with the photographic arts. The world around us has so much beauty, and I am constantly surrounded by it. For as long as I can recall I’ve viewed the world around me and saw it in pictures. Beautiful in the smallest of details, in the most insignificant of things. The way a tree branch perfectly frames a vacant piece of sky when watching the clouds at sunset, or how the sun bounces off the pavement on a rainy day. Most of the time I’m not even looking for it. I am floored by it constantly. It’s given me such an appreciation for all of the little things we take for granted in this life, or never notice until they are gone and it is too late. This is the main reason I love to take pictures. It’s a physical manifestation of the beauty I see everywhere that I can share with others… and those who may be missing it.
