Visual Art – San Francisco

In my work are reflections. Silent narratives to provoke thought and dialogue. Born and raised in Northern California. I thought to paint, and began to pursue that passion. Inspired by the Chinese literati idea of hanging scrolls to inspire conversation while entertaining. I drink from everyday life, books, music, things that strike a chord within me. Ideas from past movements partnered with an adapted aesthetic. I am bound to the idea of such intimate modes of expression as articulated with simple elegance by Hermann Hesse, described in Steppenwolf, which reads, "I have no doubt that they are for the most part fictitious, not, however, in the sense of arbitrary invention. They are rather deeply lived spiritual events which he has attempted to express by giving them the form of tangible experiences."
