Top celebrities crave her innovative styling, so she confidently gives them “The Art of Shirley G”. She has had the pleasure of creating coiffures for celebrities such as Vanessa Williams, Chaka Khan, Venus & Serena Williams, Robin Givens, Diana Ross, Selena Ebanks, Robinne Lee. On a larger scale, Shirley was responsible for enhancing the looks of many celebrities/artist as the “On Set” stylist for Black Entertainment Television’s “BET Awards”. For the past 2 years, she has been the chosen stylist for the “Black Girls Rock Awards” event. A twelve time nominee and 2008 winner of NAHA (North America Hairstylist Awards), she is a magnet for leading hair and fashion publications. Her work has also appeared in major ad campaigns for Clairol and Wella. In 2011 and 2013 Shirley was the North American Wella Trend Vision Gold Winner, and went on to represent Wella as a Finalist in the International Trend Vision Awards. Shirley is currently working on a few new horizons. They include: Debuting a series of “How To” dvds; Introducing “Shirley G’s Coiffure Care”, a product line for all hair types; An exclusive Strands Hair Boutique in New York; and Designing hair for TV and Film. In her spare time, she is dedicated to her husband and family and delights in gourmet cooking.
