Shan grew up under the sunshine of the State of Hawai'i, far away from where she was born, yet she managed to pick up English as a second language when she was thirteen. Life has not been all that easy for Shan, but her personality and strength pulled her through difficulties, and the only way she found how to express her thoughts and feelings was through photography.
