Accessories – Las Vegas
My name is Shannon Ruther and I am 39 yrs old and have resided in Las Vegas for 35 yrs. I am the Owner/Artist behind H*A*S Jewels & H*A*S Art, a company that sells functional art and functional fashion, that is, art that can be used for more than one purpose. I create vintage inspired jewelry that is one of a kind or limited edition that can be worn by all ages. Its for people who want to remain stylish yet unique, but also want to preserve classic and timeless vintage fashion. I enjoy taking apart old things and recreating them into beautiful modern day pieces. I do not like to make the same piece twice so even if the design is the same I will try to alter it in some way.
I started out making handmade rock and iconic art shirts and handbags one day when my best friend wanted to make a shirt for a band he was in. We spent the day trying to make one shirt. After many failed attempts, he quit and I turned it into a company and HAS by Shannon (aka Hot Ass Shirts) was born. I later inspired the opening of Eclectica Art Gallery to open in Boulder City and ended up selling shirts in Vasari Boutique where the line was completely sold out. I eventually expanded HAS into two divisions: HAS Art for art and upcycled furniture and HAS Jewels for jewelry, accessories, shirts, and handbags.
