Visual Art – Calgary

I attained my Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Calgary in 2014, where I concentrated in painting, and minored in religious studies. I maintain my art practice out of my studio in Calgary, and have exhibited within Western Canada. My most recent work focuses on the exploration and interaction of materials, while remaining deeply influenced by my passion for theology. I have also worked on several community based public arts projects throughout Western Canada, and am currently teaching drawing classes in Calgary, AB. My drive to engage and inspire is fueled by my fascination of art's ability to connect individuals, both with each other and ourselves. As an individual, I have always found practices such as painting, art journaling and writing to be the most beneficial outlets to make sense of the world. I hold a profound respect for the radical ability of the arts to effectively contribute to the conceptual expansion of local communities, and humanity as a whole. The engagement of such creativity brings healing, enlightenment, and compassion in its wake as we raise ourselves to become more aware and alive. When I am not in the studio, I enjoy researching and writing, meditation, hiking, and constantly searching for new inspiration in people and my surroundings!
