shaunmacleanmarrow.blogspot.com Shaun MacLean Marrow is a 35 year old painter, father, husband and curator currently living in Rehoboth, MA. He has worked, shown and studied internationally with extensive focus on painting, large scale installations, and documentary filmmaking. Formative years were spent on the East Coast of the US painting almost too much graffiti, learning the language and boundaries of the streets led to worldwide graffiti travels where Shaun felt more at home communicating his work in third world villages than in the hostile, anti-creative US. Around age 18, oil painting was introduced and he hasn\'t stopped since, the regime of control focusing the spirit of street art, disruptive and critical, onto his canvas. \"I am a painter. I tend to work in oils on a large scale. I deal with conflict on the notion of humanity. I consider myself a documentarian, a historian, a journalist in paint. In painting, I have attempt to psychologically manifest what humans must feel and act upon in issues of extreme conflict, whether political revolution or all out war. I have painted Vietnam, WWII, Iraq; currently pulling headlines of world conflicts as a center for my technique.
