my work is created mostly on drunken nights off wine. letting my sober mind, dance with my drunken mind. to let the love and lust outpour at will. to be unrestrained. to be unedited. to be a stream of consciousness.
my creative process making art began while i was in a long distance relationship and desired some self-therapy. my first piece, you’re only popular with anorexia, embodied the ideals of love and lust. that theme, of love and lust, has been the enduring muse for my work. over the years, as i traveled along highways and across oceans, that theme has followed me. from minneapolis, to an impressionable nineteen year old in new orleans, to a summer of london loving and now atlanta.
i use the technique of collage work for memories to be woven together. to show how each experience is a continuation of my life, based on the lessons of my past.
