Music – Ventura

I started to play young, when I found a beat up old guitar in my parents downstairs liquor cabinet (No comment on why I broke in there...). Through middle and high school I worked my way through the burgeoning late 90\'s metal scene, specializing in a form of death/tech metal as rhythm and eventually lead guitarist. My uncle Tex turned me on to Stevie Ray Vaughn, do to my whining about never meeting girls. I didn\'t get it, then he picked up his guitar, did a quick walk up and a few pull offs and BAM! His wife walked in from the kitchen dancing \"I love when you play blues baby\" handed him a beer and went off humming. My life was changed. I dropped the growl for Advanced Choir and my first year took 3rd chair in the states honor choir. The next year 1st chair and acceptance to the Nevada All State Choir. I got into every aspect of the music game. Started playing bass for a punk band and promoting for a few bands and night clubs around town. For the majority of the next ten years I remained behind the curtain. Toiling away learning to play acoustic and folk music, writing originals and playing the occasional sporadic show to test them out. Then came Burning Man
