Shannon Gregory
Born and raised in Augusta, Shannon has always had an eye for fashion and the complexity of the human body. At an early age, she watched as her grandmother meticulously studied garments in department store dressing rooms, only to return home and recreate the piece exactly as she saw them. Cutting patterns and threading needles, after a while, proved t be the makings of what would later be small steps into a world only her imagination could take her.
After high school, Shannon attended the Art Institute of Charlotte to explore her passion for fashion. While there she interned for Effay Nyrie, an urban line based out of New York at the time. As an intern, Shannon was able to work on pieces for the likes of Mystical (Tarantula Album Cover, R.Kelly ( Fiesta Album Cover), girl group 3LW (hair magazine) and also had the privilege of working on a jacket that would be worn by LaLa Anthony in the Aaliyah “I Miss You” video.
The logic behind the “Shush”: “Sometimes you have to be quiet and let them watch!” is her motto. She makes clothes for the boldly sophisticated woman who loves a little something different. She also makes custom clothing made to order. In the near future, she hopes to open her own design house right in the heart of her own home town Augusta.
