Hi, I am an Artist. I live in the woods with my husband and two children. I decided 6 years ago to go back to doing my art. I wanted to have flexibility and do what I loved to be doing. I love to create one of a kind items that show natural life of a flower or leaf. I practice an ancient art form of sand casting on a large sand table to form my shapes and then using a live plant I harvest an individual leaf or flower to create a new vessel which can be both a beautiful piece of Art and also a functional interior or exterior piece. I use a variety of painting techniques and my own inspirations for palette ideas. I even create some of my own pigments to maintain an individuality in my Art. I love to look at a very specific item and enlarge that in my Art. I once did an extreme close up sketch of my thumb and its unique imprint, now I want my unique imprint to be my impression of nature...like the finger print of a leaf or a flower and there will never be another one like it ever.
