SLIC by Katheryn Juliet Designs

I am a self taught fashion designer originally from Ecuador, raised in NJ and residing now in Charlotte. I have been around the apparel industry since I was 5 years old, my family owned and operated a design and manufacturing company in Ecuador. It wasn\'t until I lived in NJ where the influences of NYC built my aesthetic and love for street art. The cultural diversity in this area is a playground for any artists to draw inspiration from. This is where my love for sportswear was born, when I knew I can design something I knew very well. My Brand SLIC is a sportswear brand, it is inspired by street-wear cultures from around the world. I believe any form of art is best when it is created by what is true to the creator. I have been blessed with great mentors and teachers like my mom who have taught me things you can\'t learn in school. This is the beginning of a career I always dreamed of and I am enjoying every moment. The possibilities are endless when you believe in your purpose.
