Visual Art – Perth

Sarah Mills is an artist and practice-led researcher from Bunbury, Western Australia. Mills experiments with different mediums to depict themes and subjects faithfully. She completed a Bachelor of Arts and graduated with first-class Honours from Edith Cowan University in 2014. She has shown work in local galleries and in Perth Metropolitan galleries. Mills has experience working independently and collaboratively. In 2013, Mills curated her own exhibition, The Front Room Portrait Show, showing nineteen artworks by seventeen selected artists. She was invited to paint a mural as part of Re.Discover Bunbury 2016, which can be seen in the South’s laneway. Mills recently claimed first prize for her work, 'The Artist's Model', in the Womankind Photographer's Award VIII, which was published in the January 2017 edition of the world wide publication, Womankind Magazine. Mills has lectured units in the Arts degree at Edith Cowan University (south west campus). You can find her work in the Edith Cowan University Art Collection.
