Visual Art – Sydney
Vanessa Sotillo Eléspuru (Lima-Perú, 1986) known as Sotieles, is a self-taught visual artist, living and working in Sydney, Australia. She has a bachelor´s degree in Communication Sciences with a specialization in Marketing and Advertising from the University of Lima. (Lima, 2011) Also a Diploma in Advertising Graphics from the Toulouse Lautrec Institute. (Lima, 2007) Her work experience has been in the area of digital advertising in leading agencies in Peru. She also worked on film projects such as in the Peruvian film ¨La Hora Final¨ (2017) by Eduardo Mendoza de Echeve as part of the communication team.
Art and creativity have always been part of her life. From a young age, she used painting as an escape from her reality. Using abstract art she expresses her true emotions and thoughts. That is to say, what she feels inside is the inspiration for her work. In 2018, she decided to transform her physical and mental world by moving to Sydney to build a new life. In December of the same year, art took an important role in her spiritual transformation. In 2019, she joined RAW Artist (www.rawartists.org) and held her first collective exhibition called IMPACT SYDNEY.
