Born and raised in Brooklyn, Ryan was encouraged to be active as a child. He did not discover the arts until college. After the indoor track team was cut at his school, he began training as a dancer in an attempt to catch up to his colleagues and friends that have been dancing for years. His training began at the highly acclaimed Broadway Dance Center under Luam Keflezgy for 8 years. After which, he participated in Motivating Excellence, a training program designed by Rhapsody James for the aspiring commercial dancer. Currently, he is being mentored by Torey Nelson. In addition to performing at various showcases in New York City, such as Carnival, Sybarite and Sirens after Dark. He has also pursued professional opportunities. To date, he has danced for Rotimi, Natalie La Rose, and Madonna. He hopes to use these experiences in the classroom to help his students reach their full potential, not only as dancers, but also as people
