Sabrina Peros

Visual Art – Phoenix

Sabrina Peros is an emerging artist in Phoenix, AZ. Ms. Peros began drawing and painting at a young age, eventually studying and graduating from The School of Visual Arts (New York) with a BFA in 2002. Soon after graduating she moved to Phoenix and continued to pursue her art as well as teach at a local charter school to K-12 students. Her biggest influences include Hans Erni, Brooke Larsen, and fellow artists from the dowtown phoenix area. Most canvases start with a dark space, Ms. Peros quickly sketches and fills that space with color and strokes forcing the eye to explore the entire canvas. Her current paintings are all a visual description of the inspirations she receives from her surroundings. Her subjects have all shared a piece of her life and environment and they naturally became an inspiration in her imagery. “What I’m trying to capture through color and contrast is that moment of creative magnetism I feel when in the presence of the subjects I paint, and the fascination of freezing that snapshot in my mind that visually portrays the raw beauty of their being.”
