Sports Diva was created in 2011 by Veleria Stevens a former NFL Cheerleader for the New Orleans Saints. Veleria AKA Val, is a native of New Orleans and was born into fashion. Her passion for fashion started in her high school years when she would walk to school in 4” heels and dressed to impress… She played sports and was on her high school dance team. After high school, she became a part of the NFL New Orleans Saints; Saintsations; after her tenure as a Saint, she later become a part of the NFL Football Hall of Fame wives and participated as a model for their annual event; it was then she realized that fashion and sports should go together with a twist. The birth of Sports Diva was born! Sports Diva creates many designs with a diva and sports in mind. Sports Diva is not only a fashion line, it’s a movement; says Val. A lady that plays or like sports doesn’t have to look like or act like a guy to do it.; “she can be a diva who like to play sports!” Today, you can find Sports Diva showing her pieces in her annual Slay the Runway Fashion Show, Essence, Rock The Runway, or shows around the metropolitan area.
