Each of my works is deeply rooted in the study and research of the old world narratives derived from religion, folktales, legends, myths, and morals from ancient history because they are all stories about gaining power. My paintings and sculptures are branched from examples of zoomorphism in various mythologies and religions that capture moments of struggle in disrupting the balance of the hierarchy of power in their own animal kingdom – the ultimate act of rebelling.
