After studying fine art at the university level, she produced a series of oil paintings where black women would be revered as the primary muses in her work. She would later be cast in a musical where she would be redirected and reminded of her true calling- music. After which she would focus on developing and performing dozens of original songs. Today, Starisha owns and operates a small business where she composes custom love songs for weddings with a close-knit team.
