Stephanie Taugner

Fashion – Indianapolis

Stephanie creates designs inspired by color, forms and compositional shapes. Some designs are, edgy, and highly unique in their look. Others are classic, timeless and elegant. This is because she feels both are beautiful in their differences."I work very hard to continue to energize my creative work, to inspire and delight my customers having them relate to the designs".Large scale silk paintings were/are made and sold as (one of a kind hanging art) for homes as well as smaller hand painted scarves in various shapes to wear.Currently, Stephanie is creating tops out of t-shirts experimenting with the forms, paint, and imagery that is applied to each piece. Each top is one of a kind signed. Beads and button embellishments are often a part of these unique tee tops. Skirts and pants are now being created as well. When describing her work, Stephanie simply states that she creates pieces to enhance a woman not overpower her. "Body adornments are interactive art. The designs move with us, demonstrating aspects of who we are. My hope is that I can capture that. I hope that my fashion designs, art and jewelry will in some way reveal beautiful aspects of the person wearing them. Many of these are playful fun fashion inspired by pinafores and designs from the past. She feels it is an honor when her designs are bought and worn and is continuing to experiment and create various fashion clothing, and accessories. Stephanie has been in art exhibitions in New York City several times as well as L.A, Laguna Beach, New Haven Connecticut and London. She has won many awards in these and other shows across the country. Her exhibited work consisted of mixed media paint, photography, varying objects and more.
