Visual Art – Boston

My name is Stephen Godlieb. I was born in Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia. I moved to United States in 2008 to study urban art. Movement plays a major role in my artwork from the figures to the brush strokes. My interest in movement sparked when I was a Sophomore at New Hampshire Institute of Art. It is a unique style that comes from within. Movement represents freedom. I feel this freedom while I create art. Music helps me with flow and creativity. I thrive when listening to music and painting. My most influences include some of contemporary artists Nicolas Uribe, Robert Liberace, Lucian Freud and recently Charmaine Olivia. However, I always look for new inspiration and influence in other artists as to keep myself open to other styles.
