Sue Latta

Visual Art – Boise

I am a mixed media sculptor. I make things. I have made things for as long as I can remember. I can\'t not make things. I work in a vast range of materials including resins, metals, wood, glass, photographs, paper and found objects. I work in a variety of methods; casting, fabricating, printing, sewing, cussing and bleeding...among others. All with the goal of creating sculptural forms that are emotive, visceral and beautiful. And I teach. I\'m an adjunct Faculty at Boise State University and the College of Western Idaho and I own The Sculpture Studio in Garden City; a design/build artist studio, which also offers hands-on, skills-based workshops in a variety of 3-dimensional disciplines. My studio can accommodate metalworking, welding, woodworking, paper casting, resin casting, life casting, thinking, eating, pacing and napping. I have an MFA in sculpture and I have been a working artist for many years. My work has been collected throughout the United States and Canada, and is included in the permanent collection at the University of Nevada Reno, Boise State University, the Boise Visual Chronicle and the Idaho Shakespeare Festival and in numerous private collections. My work can be seen at suelatta.com and for a current list of classes being offered at The Sculpture Studio go to thesculpturestudio.org.
