Surreal Sojourner

Visual Art – San Diego

Born by my father\'s ranch in San Joaquin Valley, I was the product of a musician(my father), and a Poet (my mother). I was raised partially by nature, considering we lived in a rural farming community for the first portion of my life. The mind is in charge of entertaining itself in that level of isolation, which can explain the heavy use of imagination in my work. I now choose to have no ties to television, and seek creative concepts by traveling and journaling. My Artist name, \"Surreal Sojourner\" stems from my middle name, Sojourner Truth which is a historical reference to the civil rights activist and abolitionist. Sojourner- A traveler or wanderer whom takes up temporary residence. Truth-The accepted reality.
