Photography – Denver
I was born in Bombay, India in 1983. Fifteen years later, I finally managed to charm a grown-up into handing me her camera. Needless to say, she is still hoping it will find its way back.
I remember how it felt to look inside the view finder for the first time. It was the same world, but when framed by the four edges of my viewfinder, it gave me a thrill, like i was discovering it anew. Today, several years and multiple photography exhibitions later, my camera is still my guiding light.
Through my camera I try to capture the essence of places -the din of cities, the stillness of a lake, ruins lost in thought...
I was selected by RAW: natural born artists to exhibit my work in their art show that took place in Denver in February 2013. I have also previously exhibited in Bombay in 2011 at the prestigious Piramal Art Gallery, NCPA.
