Tale of a Tall Fellow

Fashion – Perth

Finding the right avenue to build a label is a hard choice, whether to do womenswear or menswear. After having a look at what other local designers were doing and what was in the market I decided to create a menswear label to provide more choice and styles for men. The plus side of this was that garments can be unisex too. As an artist myself I know how hard it is for an artists to make themselves known and to exhibit their works. When making my SS12 collection there was a scare that others may use the fabrics I had chosen for their own products. This is when i decided to do art collaborations with local artists to create new limited edition fabrics. By doing this, artists have a different medium to display their talents and another avenue to create more exposure for themselves. Not only does this label support our artists, but its also a production that doesn\'t support sweat shops. It is run by a father and son duo from Perth who own an Australian manufacturing business in Indonesia. All Fabrics are printed in Australia and fabrics exclusively made from the label are purchased from New Zealand.
