The Washington D.C. based creatives, comprised of sisters-- Jakiya Ayanna , and Shaina Aisha are known for their eclectic harmonies kismet with a refreshing organic blend of R&B, Bluegrass-Soul, Jazz, Pop, and Classical fusions. With their undeniable, one of a kind sound, The Amours are approaching the industry on their own terms, spreading their heart-felt musical message of love. This dynamic sister duo honed their vocals as little girls in church, and have blossomed into vocal powerhouses, delivering melody in all genres of music; along with their added skill as trained guitar and cajon drum players. Both are beneficiaries of training from Duke Ellington School of The Arts, and are passionate about life and the performing arts. The Amours have opened for Jazmine Sullivan, Teyanna Taylor and performed at the Children’s National Hospital in front of First Lady Michelle Obama and the children. The Amours are determined to spread the message of love all over the world through music one song at a time.
