Visual Art – Houston
Hi! My name is Califia Hurtado.
I'm not sure I have ever been good at writing biographical posts. I am a mom, an artisan, as well as an animal lover and rescuer. I currently dabble in multiple forms of art, from sculptural to hand draw coloring pages (And then getting to color them for samples!) My art ranges from tree sculptures and suncatchers to wearable pieces created with gemstones and hand crafted chainmaille. I hate limiting my creative influences and urges, so I seldom stick to just one type of art. I dabbled in polymer clay for a while, and in high school I was an avid graphite artist and acrylic painter.
My passion lies with creating. I, personally, have trouble focusing on the advertising/promotion side of online marketing. It is not my "cup of tea." But I am learning, and constantly striving to improve the quality of my supplies and my art. Recently I acquired rare stone chips to use for my Stone Tree sculptures, and I can not wait for them to arrive in the mail!
