Bassist Michael Dean and Drummer Jerry Kissinger bring the low end, while Michael Thomas will sling a guitar riff so serious and so sexy, you'll just plain want him. The Black Shades have made notable festival appearances in 2010 alongside headlining acts Daniel Jonston & Cage The Elephant (Starry Nights Festival), The Walkmen (Las Vegas' Neon Reverb Festival) and Diplo (Close the Edge Festival in Florida. In 2011, The Black Shades have very ambitious Spring and Summer tour schedules in the booking stages as well as exciting festival appearances.
