The Nu Chic© is an international recording artist from Miami Beach, Florida. With a genre defying style that fuses dance, disco, funk, house, electronica, dancehall and pop. This artist blends these core genres effortlessly creating a high-energy music style with commercial appeal. It is this sound, her personal style and glamorous appeal that has attracted The Nu Chic’s eclectic audience of jet-setters, hipsters, fashion connoisseurs, art aficionados, the rich, the famous and DJs alike. The Nu Chic (Chic) has been described by music reviewers as “futuristic dance” and “boho chic”. Her vocals range from soft and operatic to soulful funk and gritty rock n roll breathing life and character into each song as the stories unfold. Entering the music industry just 7 years ago as Mutha Versacci The Nu Chic®, Chic debuted three self-produced projects, the first being self-titled EP, The Nu Chic (June 2010) which was released through independent label, RockStarr Entertainment. She then re-released independently as The Nu Chic Remixed (2012) featuring all new remixes and a mixtape (I Love The Runway 2012). Her self-released projects received 5 star reviews by Grammy award winning music marketing guru Janet Hansen, multiple write-ups in various blogs, placement in New York Fashion Week, Miami Funksion Fashion Week, luxury lifestyle magazines Letage and Le City Magazine and indie animated film project The Beach Chronicles. Now, Chic is preparing to release her first full length album, dropping the first single off the album as early as June (2017). Additionally, to mark the near-decade of her tenure in music, Chic has established LionFish Music & Entertainment LLC, her very own independent record label. LionFish Music will produce, release and showcase native South Floridian underground music acts with international commercial appeal and film projects. A native of Florida, born in the beautiful city of Miami Beach, The Nu Chic has spent over 10 years building her resume in music, fashion and entertainment. After enjoying a successful career in both modeling and the corporate world as a paralegal, the Nu chic decided to pursue music entertainment full time. No stranger to the music industry, The Nu Chic began singing in church at the age of 8 years old and recorded her first record at 13, covering Atlantic Starr\'s \"Secret :Lovers\". Shortly thereafter, she started hanging out in the recording studio and penning hooks for local rap artists like, Miami\'s Luther Campbell aka \"Uncle Luke\" and the 2 Live Crew. To date, the songstress has held rank on Reverbnation\'s top 10 for South Florida and top 100 Nationally in dance music (her genre of choice). She has debuted on television both internationally and nationally and has hosted, performed and appeared all over the country. Preparing to release her 1st full length album, \"Evolution of Chic\", The Nu Chic\'s sound is an extraordinarily eclectic fusion of gospel, funk, pop, house, dance, electronic, disco, rock and R&B.
