The Sheepish Ewe

I\'ve spent much of my life searching for the perfect creative outlet - and have found it in felting. It keeps me close to home and my projects don\'t get ruined when three little kids come screaming into my workspace. When I am working on my felt, I am in a trance, and this calm spreads out into the rest of my life. One of my favorite things about felting is the high quality materials that I get to smell, touch, and see while I work. I use mostly merino and alpaca wools - the softest to wear. Mulberry silk is wonderful to use as an embellishment - it adds a beautiful shine to a piece. And nuno felting is a process that blends these materials with an open weave fabric - mostly linen and habotai silk. I feel lucky to have a workroom filled with these treasures!
