The Vintage Key

Accessories – Indianapolis

After my little girl and parents died, I realized the need to follow my dreams. For 8 years, I have found joy in finding tattered objects and giving them a new life with a different function while still maintaining their integrity. Using different jewelry making tools & manipulating techniques (soldering, oxidizing, etching, etc.) along w/ authentic vintage watch parts, typewriter parts, & other recyclable material, I make one-of-a-kind pieces that are meant to provoke emotion & remembrances. My work is currently for sale in boutiques & Art Galleries around the country. I was featured on People Magazine’s website for the “Your Turn” spotlight, and was chosen by the Art and Cultural Editor of Ann Arbor\'s local paper as 1 of the 5 must sees at this year\'s Ann Arbor Art Show. I was a featured artist for the Emmy Award Gift Bags in LA via Buzz Girls, and was also featured in a ¾ page article for the Lafayette Journal & Courier’s Sunday paper titled “A Special Type of Design.” Another exhibit I was proud to be invited to was “GO FIGURE: Creatively Transforming Our Environment” in the McDonald Gallery in the Art Museum of Greater Lafayette.
