Adriana Mendez

I am a designer and Illustrator. I design clothing, accessories and I freelance illustrate. I am an MFA student at the Savannah College of Art and Design SCAD. I want to eventually combine my art with my clothing designs. I have had one purse design manufactured. I developed it while taking a CAD accessory design class here at SCAD. I would like to explore accessory design alot more in the near future. My current degree in process is Illustration. I have always enjoyed designing and this usually meant drawing. I have become more and more interested in pursuing a freelance and editorial job once I graduate from SCAD. I do however want to keep designing fashion, because it is a passion of mine. I am now interested in the possibility of surface design for clothing, because of my schooling and experience with illustration. As a fashion designer, my style has changed. I now go for clean geometric simple silhouettes, when thinking about casual wear. I really enjoy monochromatic palettes. I have not been able to pursue the actual crafting of garments because I have been busy with school, but I am always, always thinking about clothing and accessories. I want to do everything! I also have a business! I have a fashion Design company called Thrd Eye, it is an official business in Texas! I hope to continue growing that business.
