Tilt Productions

Visual Art – Los Angeles

Originally from NYC, I am a builder, fabricator, art director, a/v specialist, and artist. I specialize in custom work and re-purposing/refurbishing recycled parts and materials. I like to incorporate working lights, audio and when possible, mechanical parts in my art and art installations. I pride myself on being able to take on any custom project as well as making art out of \'garbage\' and parts. I have worked on feature films, movies and commercials, creating my own art as well as fulfilling other people\'s visions. I was also featured on the premiere episode of Syfy\'s show \"Hot Set\", a set design challenge. I love movies and music and strive to make an impact in my industry. A lot of my art has influence from vintage pieces such as mechanical parts, dials, nozzles, lights, levers.. all pieces that I have collected and love to work around. My painting style is very cinematic. I love to faux-age pieces and make them seem grimey using paints and chemicals [with metals, for example] to customize a look. However, I do pride myself on being able to do pristine, clean work when doing installations [no exposed wiring, clean lines and edges] or pieces that require a clean, perfect look. I am a hard worker and a perfectionist. When I have a vision for a piece, I will find a way to see make it happen. Lastly, my company Tilt Productions was named after my father, Joseph Sr. whose nickname was Tilt.
