Tim Rossington

Music – Newcastle

G\'day, I\'m a Singer/Songwriter and my name is Tim Rossington. I was born and raised on a farm near Glen Innes, NSW and for many years I\'ve enjoyed playing music with family and friends. I first picked up the guitar passed down from my father and following on from my brother John by getting guitar lessons. Music was never the forefront of my life growing up in the country as I had other great passions and enjoyment in many things such as playing football (soccer) and life on the land. It wasn\'t until I started singing, forced, well lightly forced by a few mates to lead a band for a local band competition that I felt pure enjoyment for performing. Singer/songwriting was evolving from then on to be a big part of my life and what i found a true desire for. I loved the raw feel and happiness it gave me and I loved sharing my musical passion with lots of family and friends but also with fresh faces. I have been living in Newcastle, studying at the Uni and performing all around the Hunter Valley. Over the last few years I have moved from pubs and bars to the bigger stages and back again. Though no matter the size I can\'t help but try my hardest every time. In July of last year, I was a featured artist in the audition round of X factor. After much careful consideration I decided to perform a cover of Gloria Gaynor\'s \'I Will Survive\' and it seemed to go well enough for me and I was lucky enough to receive a very warm standing ovation from the judges and audience. To date I have got over 650000 views of the performance of Gloria\'s disco classic and it is the fifth track on My debut EP ‘Rising’. The cover is accompanied by 4 originals which are a collection of songs that are written from a few important memories and feelings about my life. In an Acoustic style, I think I find my true element in developing this craft and only hope to continue moving forward in a career to share more songs with audiences new and old, young and wise. Peace
