Tovah Goodman

I got my start into the music world in fifth grade when I lied and said I was going into middle school so I would participate in a summer musical theater program. After singing \"Jonny One Note\" I was hooked. I started training vocally at age 13 when a group of my grandmother\'s friends bought me voice lessons as a present for my Bat-Mitzvah. I grew up training in opera, musical theater and jazz vocals and performed in competitions, festivals and reviews. The songwriting entered the picture in middle school when I was obsessed with Hot Topic, Linkin Park and the torment of being a 14-year-old kid. Since then I learned how to play guitar, ukelele and my songs went from punk inspired to a jazz/rock groove. I am a regular at open mics and my favorite shows are small intimate acoustic performances because I get to be just as entertained by the audience as they are by me. It is important in all my shows to include comedy and drama within the set list. Life is never one emotion and my goal is to take the audience on a journey they won\'t soon forget.
