Tyger Alexis is a small design house located in downtown Raleigh NC. Local designer Kristin Robbins has been sewing since she was just a little cutie and knew early on that this what what she wanted to do with the rest of her life. Majoring in Fashion Design and minoring in Art she attended Meredith College and spent 6 months studying abroad at the Paris American Academy in Paris, France. There she had the opportunity to work with designers such as Elie Saab, attended countless couture shows, and was taught under many established industry professionals. After debuting her own collection here in Raleigh at FashionSpark in 2009,she started selling her clothing at local boutiques and found herself being commissioned to design \"one of a kind\" pieces for locals. Tyger Alexis has also been seen on the runway of local charity Couture for a Cause, winning \"Best Design\" in 2009. And most recently awarded Raleigh\'s \"Designer of the Year\" in this year\'s RAW:natural born artist competition. 90% of Tyger Alexis clothing is handmade. The sketches, drafting, pattern making, and construction of each garment is done by designer Kristin Robbins. The other 10% consists of deconstructed and up-cycled vintage clothing!
