Tyra Kopf

At a young age I knew I wanted to be an artist. After graduating high school, I began my college career at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, focusing on painting and drawing. After completing my first two semesters there, I decided to pursue a dance degree. The following year, I began my journey of pursuing a BFA in dance at Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri. I soon realized that my passion for performing and creating visual art could be intertwined. Since then I have strived to create artwork that integrates different mediums and generates provoking conversation amongst audience members. I find satisfaction in creating work that brings in a wide demographic of viewers, and I wish to keep creating art and that sparks dialogue, intrigue, and a new perspectives for the viewer and performer.
