Una Pluma

A traveler at heart my journey\'s have inspired my designs. Una Pluma began in Kathmandu over a cup of tea and a simple questions from a sweet friend, if you could do anything, what would you do? I dreamed to start a shop with clothing that just fit right (a scarcity in Nepal\'s capitol city). In 2008 I opened Una Pluma- Kathmandu and thus began my mission to make clothes that look as good as they feel. My designs and pattern-making skills blossomed through working countless hours with cutting masters in Kathmandu and exploring the local textile markets. In 2012 after the birth of my son I decided to move closer to my family and returned to my hometown of Portland, OR. I focused my manufacturing to one well established fair trade factory and made the decision to work exclusively with organic cotton. My designs have taking many twists and turns over the years but my missions remains the same- to create garments that not only look amazing and feel soft against your skin but are created with care for this world we live in.
