Music – New Orleans

I was born and raised in Mandeville, Louisiana by a huge family. We were all very close, blessed, traditional. I was born a fish out of water, and somehow found a way to turn my unique perspective into art. I grew up dancing and acting, always too scared to sing. I was a Tiger Girl (competitive dance team) at LSU and graduated from there with a bachelor in Music and Dramatic Arts. Injuries from my athletic career in college prevented me from being able to pursue dance any further, so I quickly moved into film to quench my need for expression and creativity. My sister and I began producing on a bigger scale and co-produced the narrative feature "She Was Famous" the year after college. All the while, I still missed the rush that came from performing live. I knew I needed my very own art, one that could heal me and fulfill me as an artist and performer. My journey with music began in the spring of 2015, when my Dad gave me a guitar and bet me I wouldn't learn it. I picked it up quickly, discovered my voice, and began writing my own music. It's been a little over a year, and I'm currently working on my first E.P. (to be released this summer) I try my best to never limit myself, sometimes it works. I went 22 years having no clue I was a musician, at 23 I met my soulmate, and at 24 years of age I can tell you that I was put on this Earth to make music, for it is the most natural relationship I've ever made.
