VAR is a contemporary jewelry collective located in the barrio logan art district in San Diego. VAR COLLECTIVE is a place for making, collaborating, exchanging ideas, and for holding open discussions on contemporary art and jewelry. As a group we work in the areas of metalsmithing, contemporary jewelry and objects; this amalgamation of ideas, talent, and skill fuels creation and fosters experimentation.
