Photography – Pittsburgh

Editorial and fine art photography are my passions. Overtime, photographic projects in these two areas have helped me to feel more comfortable and confident around people. In the past, I always felt that the idea of working on my own was more appealing, but having people involved in my work has opened up several new possibilities. My skills as an editorial photographer have developed through lighting skills, communication, and networking with other professionals. I feel that my creative choices using multiple lights help me to control the technical aspects and final results that separate my work from other photographers. Mystery and mood in visuals play a role in my work. The exploration of ideas and how they help people connect to the visual narratives in the images that I create is something that drives my creative process. I want my work to take me further with other professionals in both areas in which I can expand my technical skills and creative ideas. Successfully communicating the narrative through photographs is an exciting challenge. I hope to have the opportunity in the future to illustrate stories and topics in magazines. I would also like to show my fine art work in gallery settings so I can inspire the viewer to explore new ideas in photography.
