ApoetNomadAli is a writer, a hip hop artitst, an actor, a dancer, an activist, and a young man who has spent a good portion of his life delving into the truths of human nature, love, compassion, and social justice. Where he sits in this prestigous court that is Hollywood, fame, and fortune, is of no consequence to his talent and undeniable gift to reach people and entertain. I pray for his success, but am blown away by his committment to his own artistic integrity and his relentless notion that anything worth achieving is also worth the wait.

I watched him release a project that single-handedly painted the region which we immigrated to with a humour, a class, and an affection. When he released Orange County Disorder, I was afraid it would define him, instead, the community admittedly confronted the issues, laughed with him, and waited to show him off to the rest of the world.

Then his newest release, "B.O.M." (Best of Me), which he released two songs from every unreleased album he had written. Again, I was worried that it would be inconcievable that his musical range went from songwriting to r&B, to hip hop, to passionate rap, but again he told me, "if it's good and true, the rest are just details for someone else to figure out...".

I am not sure what gives him the drive to continually pursue and develop himself in all these different arenas, I can only hope he is rewarded for his dilligence. I have seen greats come and go, but I think this young man may just leave his mark as one of them...

Of course I am biased, I'm his mother. : )
