Renée James was born and raised in Southern California and inherited her talent and love of art from her mother, CJ Colburn, who is an Abstract Artist.


She is a graduate of Platt College in Graphic Design/Computer Graphics and has a certificate of completion in Graphic Design from So. California Regional Occupational Center as well.


She has created 2 book covers which both have been published. “With All My Heart” by Cindy Colburn and “The Pathfinder” by Australian author Selwyn Perry.


Renée’s talent has been donated to a silent auction for the Woman in Film “Crystal / Lucy Awards” ceremony in 2003.


While living in Texas in the 2007 she displayed her works of art for 6 weeks at the “Richard Eastman Gallery” in Houston.


Renée has sold artwork to various clients and has created works of art upon request.

Currently you can find her every Second Saturday of the month at the Long Beach Second Saturday Art Walk.
