I have been in the hair industry for a few years now. I currently work at Carlton Hair International. The thing I enjoy about doing hair is that there is always a challenge. You never know what to expect. Everyday there is a project. Hair comes in many different varieties and you have to work it! I always wanted a career that I could use my creativity.
Hair is one of the first things we notice on people. It is interesting to think of hair as art, but it definitely is. There is so much structure and vision that is necessary for clients because everyone has such different traits. I treat my clients hair with love and respect as I would my own. I love doing hair, I am in the zone when I am doing it. My favorite hair quote is by James Brown "Sometimes you like to let the hair do the talking". I agree with that.
