Maria was born in Philippine and raised in Michigan. Her interest in design began, when as a fan of The Detroit Pistons, she deconstucted oversized t-shirts with the Pistons logo and creatively remade them into different styles. Her friends were very impressed with her creation that they placed orders, and before long she was making clothes extending to her friends ,family, and other people as well. Her hobby turned into a small business and a trend was started.

In 2000, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue and learn more about the
fashion industry. She immediately landed a job with a very popular stylist/designer in the music indrustry. There she learned the ins and outs of the fashion world. However, she continued to dream of having her own clothing line. A few years later she courageously pursued that dream and, thus, M.C.Floresca was REborn. M.C. Floresca is a combination of 2 values she is passionate about: Fashion and Recycling. She makes her pieces by using old t-shirts and sweatshirts, reconstructing them, reworking them, and turning them into unique dresses, fun shirts, tanks,flirty skirts, blouses and jackets. Hence, the M.C.Floresca line is both ECO-FRIENDLY and one of a kind. GREEN IS IN! She believes that women can be trendy and environmentally concious at the same time.

In 2006, she opened her very 1st boutique, and since then her designs have been featured in print and music videos. On June 5 2009, she launched a 15 piece fall collection through Project Ethos and landed on the front cover of Apparel News.The reviews were outstanding!

Today, M.C. Floresca is available in specialty boutiques across Los Angeles and Orange County. Maria's ultimate goal is to see her Collection sold in boutiques across the U.S. and abroad and for M.C. Floresca to be a household name.
