RAW...duhPost-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a term for certain severe psychological consequences of exposure to, or confrontation with, stressful events that the person experiences as highly traumatic.[1] Clinically, such events involve actual or threatened death, serious physical injury, or a threat to physical and/or psychological integrity, to a degree that usual psychological defences are incapable of coping with the impact. (Wikipedia) Well, I wouldn’t necessarily describe South America as the cause of such dramatic effects, but none the less all the new songs for Post Trauma’s new release were inspired by and written below the Tropic of Capricorn. One year of Chilean residency and 4 months of travel through Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina spawned the lyrical and rudimentary basis for six tracks that were originally intended for a solo recording. Upon returning to California, however, the need of more souls to capture the spirit in which these songs were written proved to be necessary. The group was put together, and The Smoggy Lining came to life without edits. Listen closely and with a free mind. If you’ve made it this far, I’m sure you already have and we thank you.
